Scholarships offered by THWS
For the academic year 2026/2027, scholarships funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will be available for:
- outstanding students based on academic merit, and
- students from regions affected by humanitarian crises.
Eligible students can apply for:
- A tuition fee contribution of EUR 2,500 per academic year for the Pre-Year Engineering Science at GJU.
- A contribution of EUR 250 towards German language course fees for students enrolled in either the Pre-Year or the Bachelor's degree programme in Engineering Science.
The call for applications, including eligibility criteria, application requirements and deadlines, will be published in early August.
Further funding options
Apart from the THWS scholarships, students may consider other ways to finance their studies.
External scholarships
Numerous foundations and organisations offer scholarships based on academic achievement, social engagement or specific fields of study.
Examples include:
- the Deutschlandstipendium,
- DAAD scholarships,
- and various gifted scholarship organisations.
Student loans
Depending on your country of residence, government or private student loan programmes may be available.
Part-time studies
Our Bachelor's programmes can be completed in a part-time study track, allowing students to combine their studies with employment.
