For the 2025/26 academic year, THWS is awarding scholarships to the most outstanding students in the Hosted Programmes B.Eng. Hydrogen Engineering and B.Eng. Advanced Materials Engineering, supported by funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The scholarship call is open to:
- New students enrolling in the pre-year of the Hydrogen Engineering or Advanced Materials Engineering programmes starting in October 2025
- Students who have successfully completed their pre-year at GJU and are now enrolled as THWS students in the Hydrogen Engineering programme (students in their 2nd and 3rd years of study)
The scholarships consist of:
- a lump sum that covers part of the study fees at GJU (1.250 Euro per semester, paid in two installments)
- a lump sum that covers part of the monthly costs of living (453 Euro per month, paid in regular installments)
Students can apply for Sur Place and Third Country Scholarships starting from 3 August 2025. The deadline for submitting the application is Wednesday, 15 October 2025, 12PM.
Scholarships are awarded every year and can be extended for subsequent years if the following conditions are met:
- GPA consistently remains above 80%
- Performance in the German language courses is above average
- Funds provided by DAAD remain available
The Surplace and Third Country Scholarships are awarded to the most meritorious students based on academic performance. In cases of equal academic and language results, motivation will be the deciding factor.
