About the Course

The aim of the transnational bachelor's degree programme 'Social Work (Transnational)' is to enable students to act independently and professionally in the various practical fields of social work. This is done on the basis of scientific knowledge and scientific methods in a national and transnational context that connects the Arab/Jordanian with the European/German region. The course is supported as a transnational educational project with funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The course is intended, in particular, to impart professional, social and personal skills. These should enable students to identify, describe, analyse and explain social problems in both geographical, cultural and linguistic contexts, as well as to develop action plans from them, put them into practice and check their effectiveness.

Graduates of the Social Work degree programme automatically receive state recognition as social pedagogues in Germany.
